Through heaven’s eyes

What is one life’s worth if measured
weighed not by earthly treasures owned
but seen with eyes in praise intoned
and measured more, than all, treasured?
Gnawing thoughts, vain mortality
wrapped in veils of false promises
tied in pain with king Rameses
clouded judgment of man’s frailty
Still, miracles of one’s belief
as one seeks answers from above
through heaven’s eyes, and in God’s love
one’s soul, by grace, not just gold leaf
One’s worth so measured not with gold
but in mercy weighed with such love
worth more than all one can dream of
by faith, a treasure, now, behold!
