Mon Ami You of radiant smile, a free, giving heart
sunlight that shone, in the rain, a dear friend
strong of purpose, gentle spirit, a part
of my life to remember without end

A bright eyed person that I could depend
to count on then when times were very hard
with thousands of miles between, to contend
your strength and true friendship somehow kept guard

So a better person I became, blessed
and more of a blessing because of you
your kindness in my heart and mind impressed
I somehow hope to share with others too

In my heart you will stay, always will be
a ray of sunshine that still shines in me
