when it is dark outside
and all the stars are bright
that behind the moonlight
daylight goes to hide

when ancient art divine
with moonbeams aplenty
and twinkling stars so many
in the heavens shine

when night clothes holler
to be put on so vainly
and warm milk is quite plainly
drank by each scholar…
