A Broken Heart Speaks

Take it all in, is what I do
as I try to portray a serene act
I move precisely in a stage play
my every beat with a story, behold!
I cry in a way with silent sobs
pushing aside setbacks encountered
An air of primness I often assume
in mourning for each death I die
In all honesty I long to rest
but to do so would end my role
Though perhaps in a way cruel
I too, must serve my own purpose
Then again, if what’s said is true
just be quick to note my presence
For without fail you will find me
broken and surviving another death.
